Enable screen locking in Mac OS X

I've seen a few ways of lock your screen on the Mac and this is by far the best and fastest way of locking your screen.

First open up Finder and go to Applications then Utilities. In the Utilities folder find "Keychain Access" and open it.
Now that Keychain Access is open go to Keychain Access in the menu bar and click "Preferences..".

Now that you are in the Preferences check the box next to "Show Status in Menu Bar".

You should now have a lock icon on your menu bar. Click on it then click Lock Screen. Your screen saver should start and when you move your mouse or type a letter on your keyboard you should now be asked for your password.

Or you could set-up a hot corner. Go into System Preferences > Desktop & Screen Saver then click on the Hot Corners button. I move my mouse to the top left of the screen and the screensaver activates, however I do have 'require password from wake/screensaver' switched on under Security.
