I finally put my little lcd in a case. It is now USB powered and controlled by the parallel port. It is pretty ugly but works.
I bought the screen off of eBay for under $10.
Version 2
For the next version I may buy a 20x4 screen. I want to make it fully usb and I'm going to put it in a nice looking case. Maybe made out of wood.
I may buy this
